Avatars and Internal Communications

What you’re seeing in the video is an avatar, created during a quick experiment we ran at Black Cherry using HayGen, an AI tool for generating talking-head videos.
We pulled a snippet of copy directly from our website and tested how fast we could produce a result. The whole thing? Wrapped up in just 30 minutes.
It’s clearly not human (and shouldn’t ever be mistaken for one), but tools like this might have a role to play in internal comms — perhaps for fast-turnaround training content on things like cybersecurity, compliance, or onboarding. Has anyone had success using it in that kind of context?
There’s possibly more to it than speed. Avatars could make content more accessible than plain text, and switching up languages to suit global teams is easy.
You'll notice some odd voice inflections and misplaced emphasis — a good reminder that this tech isn’t a substitute for a real person, and shouldn’t be presented as such.
A few takeaways:
Yes, it’s AI.
That must be transparently stated.
And no — it didn’t quite cut it for marketing!
